An earthquake has left thousands without homes, water, or medicine. Volunteers on the ground turn your donation into supplies — bought nearby and delivered by hand. 100% goes to the cause, with no commission.
Totals combine all TuFamilia relief campaigns to date — not this campaign alone. Updated by hand as receipts come in.

How it works
How your donation becomes real help
No middlemen, no warehouses far away. Here's exactly what happens after you give — simple enough to follow from start to finish.
1
We go where people are hurting
Our volunteers visit the places sheltering people who lost their homes or were injured — hospitals, plazas, stadiums, and shelters.
2
We ask what's needed
We find the person in charge. They keep a list — often on a paper board — of the exact supplies they need that day.
3
We double-check
Before spending a dollar, we confirm the supplies are still needed, so nothing is wasted or bought twice.
4
We buy it locally and deliver
Another volunteer buys those exact supplies from nearby stores and hands them straight to the people who need them.
Why we buy from local shops
The shops in nearby and surrounding areas still have what people need. We pay a fair price instead of asking for discounts — that keeps local businesses open and the local economy alive, while getting help to families fast. We even coordinate with other cities that send supplies every day. Helping people and helping the community recover go hand in hand.
The earthquake hit a wide stretch of Venezuela's north-central coast. Our volunteers focus where the damage is worst and we can reach people directly: Caracas and its surroundings, and La Guaira (Vargas) on the coast.

Honesty & trust
Where your money goes — and who handles it
We'd rather show you the truth than a polished logo. Here's exactly who we are, who holds your donation, and where we're taking this.
We're volunteers
TuFamilia is an independent volunteer effort. We are not a registered charity and we're not affiliated with any government or the Red Cross, so we can't issue a tax receipt. What we can promise: 100% of your donation goes to relief, with no TuFamilia commission.
Who holds your donation
We don't have an organization bank account yet, so your e-Transfer goes to the personal Interac account of one of our trusted volunteer coordinators — whoever is available to receive it and act fast. They're real, named people, accountable for every dollar:

Where this is heading
This is for the long run. We're working toward a partnership with Susila Dharma International — a Canada-based humanitarian network — for continuous support and stronger accountability as we grow, and toward moving from personal accounts to a dedicated group account. We're not affiliated with them yet; we'll only say so once it's real.

In the news
Relief coverage of the Venezuela earthquake from trusted outlets — separate from our own work. Tap a headline to read the full story at the source.
I was born and raised in Venezuela. It's where I come from, and to me all of Venezuela is family — that's not a slogan, it's the reason this company carries the name it does.
Venezuela is living through one of the hardest chapters in its history. Like so many Venezuelans abroad, I've spent countless hours thinking about how to help — and I do it with love, because this is personal.
Canada became my second home, and it taught me something simple: when you're given the chance to build, you use it to do good. I'm an engineer — the digital world, fintech, money that moves fast and arrives in full, is where I can actually make a difference. While others organize food and supplies on the ground, my part is getting help to them quickly and completely.
Every campaign we run is tied to coordinators we know and trust inside Venezuela — people doing the hard, practical work of getting help where it needs to go. Right now, Venezuelans are showing the world what it means to take care of one another without waiting for anyone's permission.
In a crisis, we're all equal. This is me doing what I can, with what I have. Thank you for doing the same.
